What will FUN and a Quarter Get You?

For those collectors, or dealers, who wanted to purchase complete sets of a particular series, or simply add to their current holdings, the FUN Show was the place to do just that. The nation's top dealers had abundant inventories which typically leads to some great deals for buyers, although one complaint overheard was that there were not enough coins at reasonable levels. Heritage hosted a tremendous auction with so many highlights that it would take days to describe. Show attendance was extremely heavy and dealers reported good sales through most of the show and their overall market outlook is bright.
The metals did not do much last week to help the dealers in attendance at FUN, but may have created additional sales with investors taking advantage of low prices. The metals are higher today with Gold and Silver Proof Eagles in strong demand. Proof Gold Eagles are trading among dealers at $1,840 and Silver Eagles are now at least $60.50. This week's LD Wholesale Market Dealer Price Guide shows an abundance of increases across several charts. Most of the advances appear in the Quarter charts and many of those were updated from information gathered from FUN and the Heritage Sale. Bust Quarters are quite active at current levels with some higher this week. The 1818 is up to $3,650 Market in MS62 and the 1822 is now $2,825 in AU58.
The following list represents just a few of the highlights from the Heritage Sale at FUN. We have just begun to update prices from this sale and we will have the entire sale digested over the next couple of weeks.
